1. Diary of a Skool Girl – For this feature you can submit a diary entry in which you tell your version of a story, event or life experience (Here are some examples.) We’d like to know about a moment in time when you felt pressured to down play who you are to make someone else feel more comfortable. Do you regret not standing out for the right reasons? How easy is it to talk about your successes and accomplishments when people around you may not be in the same position? Is it okay to shine without fear or being judged or labelled cocky? How did the person react…Were they happy for you or not? What is your relationship with that person now? Is it possible to be humble and great?
2.  iWrite – Each month, we would like to publish fictional stories and poetry written by you. If you’d like us to consider your work December’s roundup, please send it to us by November 20 with the subject line: iWrite
3. Aunty Esha Advice questions. These can be sent in at any time. Do you have a burning question or would like some advice that you cannot possibly ask a friend or family member about? Well, Aunty Esha’s here to help you, she always knows just what to say.

Skool Style: Tracksuit Edition – This is not just any ordinary tracksuit, but one with a funky twist. Send in a picture of you in a “funky” Tracksuit with the subject line: Tracksuit December. Readers can join in on Instagram with the hash tag #skoolstyle if we like it we will #regram

Hair and Nails: We are looking for hair, nail, or make-up tutorials based on the theme “Celebrating Yourself”. This means big, eccentric hair do’s or nail art, lots of colour or hair accessories i.e. bows, sweets, ribbon etc. If you are considering submitting a video tutorial / DIY’s please ensure that it is your own original content and it cannot be already published on another platform.

1. Nominations – Who would you like us to celebrate this month in our N.Y.A.G and Inspirational Women sections

-      Not Your Average Girl (NYAG). N.Y.A.G is a platform showcasing the successes of young females (aged 13-25) in all aspects of talents, accomplishments and giftings from business, dance, fashion, singing, journalism, sports, poetry, modelling, academics etc and highlighting their outstanding achievements and positive contributions in their journey so far.

-       Inspirational Women – This showcases and explores the success journeys of the more mature woman who is established in her field / business / industry.

THEME
December is all about celebrating the FANTABULOUS you. Be your biggest supporter, shout about you, your race, your culture, what you do, your achievements, love you, be you, do you and for the people who don’t like your new found self-confidence, tell them to step aside and to not interrupt you.

We are not asking you to be big-headed, cocky or to pertain to be better than anyone else but we are saying it’s completely okay to acknowledge the great qualities that make-up who you are and to wave your “I Am Proud Of Myself”flag high as a kite.

If you have anything worth celebrating yourself for this month, we want to know all about it – birthday’s, passing your driving test, getting a certain grade, starting a new hobby, conquering your greatest fear, forgiving someone who hurt you, finally clearing out the junk underneath your bed, being punctual for school, having the courage to say goodbye to people in your life who are a burden – whatever it is we’re going to help you have a BIG fat Skool Celebration!

You can get involved by submitted content, photo’s or idea’s based on the information above and you can also join in on social media with the hash tag – #skoolstyle and if we like it will we regram or repost.

COLOUR SCHEME
Visual work / Photo guideline: For every monthly theme we have a colour scheme. For December’s “Celebrating Yourself” theme, the colours are red, white and pink. Think candy canes, stripes, confetti, balloons and candy-floss pink.
