Can guys and girls be friends? Well it’s certainly not impossible. Many people only focus on the cons, but what about the pros? Like we say, there are two sides to every story and little did you know girls, there may be more benefits than you think…

Gaining insight
Good gracious are there some things us ladies can all learn about the male mind! Not only will this save time, frustration, and confusion, but also without realising having a great male friend helps you to set a standard of how you expect other guys to treat you, so let’s just say eventually the tricks and charm won’t cut it!

More dynamic conversation
Not only is there so much more to talk about, but having good guy friends can take some of the guesswork out of day-day situations…do’s and don’ts, likes and dislikes, why guys generally prefer less make-up, real hair and eyelashes that stay on…you know that kind of stuff. This can often lead to healthy debates, which is even better if you’re a nosey parker who enjoys learning about the male perspective anyway.

Advice from a different perspective
We often hear girls say that they think like a guy…yeah right! We have news for you ladies, no matter what you say, truth is if you’re a girl so guess what Einstein? You’ll think like one. Having males friends to give you a different perspective on a situation can be a breath of fresh air, whether it’s family matters, a breakup or being a gossip victim, getting words of wisdom from someone who sees the world differently than you do can make a lot of difference in how you handle your problems.

Protection
There’s nothing more satisfying than feeling a sense of security when you’re around the people you love and trust most. A typical guys guy will often make it his duty to look out for his good girl pal, especially when it involves other guys. At least when you’re out with your guy friend you are unlikely to be harassed…and we say Amen 2 dat!

Tough love
As we all know guys and girls think differently about many things hence why matters that are trivial to us ladies can seem petty and pathetic to a guy. Unlike your girl pals, guys are less likely to sympathise with you over foolishness! You wouldn’t believe that hanging around with the opposite sex has a way of making you a tough cookie, but hey you gotta admit we all need that tough lovin’ from time to time right?
