As Cancer Research UK preps for their London Winter Run, I’d certainly say there’s not a greater way to challenge yourself this season!
15,000 people are expected to fill the streets of London on the 1st of February 2015 to take part in a 10km run. They will brave the cold, experience the unique Snow Zone and make their way past the capital’s most iconic landmarks including The London Eye, St Paul’s Cathedral, Big Ben and Tower of London to raise money for cancer.
Nick Rusling, CEO of Human Race, said “The London Winter Run is part of our vision to get thousands of runners to take on the challenge of running 10km through stunning central London in the heart of winter. To achieve this vision we will work with our fantastic group of partners in order to inspire people to keep active all around the year. We’ve organised many events in the winter before and they have a wonderful added sense of camaraderie and collective spirit which should make this event magical.”
It’s going to take more than freezing weather to stop cheerful charity givers. It’s all about making it to the end of that finish line and conquering cancer once and for all! – So what do you say, are you in?
